With Corona Solutions' Online Neighborhood Crime Map, with just a few clicks of a computer mouse, users are able to zoom in on a map of a neighborhood, click on an icon representing a crime, and know what has occurred. The map represents citizen calls for service and officer-initiated events, which do not always result in a police report. Users can zoom in on a neighborhood and then set up an e-mail alert that will notify them when a new incident occurs within those parameters. This new crime map allows users to input date ranges and categories of crime they are interested in, illustrates a 12-month trend based on those user inputs, and provides the ability to print reports.
